Bisaya Language

The word Bisaya refers to the Visayas Islands in the Philippines. This is a group of islands that includes Panay, Negros, Cebu, Bohol, Leyte and several other islands.

The Bisaya people or Visayans are people who come from the various Visayas Islands

The Bisayan People and Culture

The term Visayans, also spelled Bisayans, refers to people who trace their roots to the Bisayan-speaking region of the Philippines.

This region includes the Visayas Islands but also a large part of Mindanao which is now populated largely by Visayans due to migration.
